Please have the following information ready when you call:

  • Your name, home address and phone number 
  • Your Medicaid ID number (if applicable but If booking a private ride this does NOT apply)
  • Pick up and drop off address  (Name, Full Address and ZIP code of the doctor or location)
  • The date and time of your appointment, if known
  • Any special needs, including the need for someone to ride with you and if wheelchair accessible van is needed
  • General reason for the appointment (for example, healthcare providers visit, check up, eye appointment, out of state travels or ride to airport)

Altruistic Mobility Transportation monitors and reports no shows. We also do NOT reimburse transportation providers for no shows. You should confirm the transport and pick up time with the recipient on the day prior to the scheduled trip. If a recipient indicates that they wont be attending their appointment, cancel the trip.

Yes, Members of Altruistic Mobility Transportation driving team must have specific credentialing and qualifications, including training elements. All drivers MUST meet our credentialing requirements as well as complete required training which in includes but not limited to; CPR certified, First Aid certified, Defensive driving course as well as maintaining a clean driving record and properly trained on how to handle/assist customers during transport and putting customers needs first and respecting them at all times.

If you or a customer experience an issue during transport call us directly. You must provide your name, Medicaid ID number(if applicable), the date of service and your trip number. We will follow up within 3-5 business on all complaints. All parties involved will be contacted in the scheduling and transport to resolve the issue. We will notify you of the results of the complaint in a timely manner.

You must follow these rules when riding with Altruistic Mobility Transportation

  • Provide your full name, contact information, pick-up address, drop-off address, and reason for ride when you book
  • Be ready and watching for your ride at your pick up time
  • Contact by phone or email in a timely manner in advance or as soon as possible to cancel a ride
  • ALWAYS wear your seatbelt
  • No Smoking
  • Be thoughtful of other passengers in the vehicle if you are sharing a ride
  • Do NOT bring alcohol, drugs, tobacco products or weapons into the vehicle
  • Do NOT physically or verbally abuse other passengers or the driver

Yes, you can schedule recurring trips at once with Altruistic Mobility Transportation, eliminating the need to schedule each individually. Recurring trips can be scheduled up to 6 months at a time.

Special requests are transports that is a part of usual day to day form of transportation. Most special request include a surcharge along with the base fee.  To book a special request you would have to call in advance, preferably at least 24-48 hours, and be approved.  If you are approved or denied you will receive confirmation via email, phone or both.
